Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, is the foremost technical University in Sweden and represent one third of the country’s capacity in Technical research. It is also home of one of the finest University engineer educational programmes there are.
KTH has been involved in the development of Exerciser since its start, as a Spin-off from an e-learning project, which was initiated by the Institute of Nuclear and Reactor physics.
In March, 2004, the KTH, Principal, Anders Flodström created a task group with the mission to conduct a pre-study and document the existing ONE- activities on campus.(On-Line Education). The objective was to determine what was needed to achieve a broader usage of ONE at KTH. In the final report Exerciser was mentioned as a suitable candidate to be further developed to achieve the previous mentioned goals. During the following period of time Edulab worked in close cooperation with both teachers and students at KTH with the common goal to develop a new versatile tool that would be suitable for broad usage.
Today the application is used within several different subjects from languages to Reactor Physics and covers both interactive exercises as well as examination segments.
